if I were sixteen today

Today is first day back to school at my county, I see yellow school buses everywhere.
Speaking of going back to school, I remember Marianne Moore’s If I Were Sixteen Today in which she writes:

When I was sixteen—in fact thirteen—I felt as old as I have ever felt since; and what I wish I could have been when sixteen is exactly what I am trying to do now, to know that to be hindered is to succeed. If one cannot strike when the iron is hot, one can strike till the iron is hot.

On unrelated note, I wore this matchy-matchy ensemble today.

  1. I love the black and white + pink combo!! I’ve been entertaining the idea of wearing it on me, and now I’m sold.
